Produced from 2000 to 2006, the BMW M3 E46 is a true icon of the brand. The successor to a noble lineage, it benefits from the latest evolution of the in-house naturally-aspirated 6-cylinder engine, the famous S54! Howling at over 8000 revs, with an absolutely unique metallic sound, this engine is the perfect accompaniment to an accomplished and efficient chassis. This generation will also see the introduction of an even more powerful CSL version, for 'Coupé Sport Lightweight', the flagship of the M3 E46. ++++++++++++++++++++ The model on offer is a 2001 M3 E46 Coupé Phase 1, with a French manual gearbox and a very rare Interlagos Blue Metallic colour. The vehicle is in exceptional condition, having benefited from extensive mechanical and bodywork restoration work. ++++++++++++++++++++ CONFIGURATION Our M3 was delivered new in May 2001 by BMW dealer L. V. M. Automobiles in Dury, Somme. The vehicle was delivered with the following options: - Multifunction leather /// M steering wheel - Electric leather seats with memory, backrest width and lumbar adjustment - Electrochromic interior mirror - Piano black finish inserts - Xenon headlights - Automatic air conditioning - PDC / Rear parking radar - (Full list below) In addition the vehicle benefited from the retrofit of the following equipment: - CSL rear trunk (original BMW) - CS wheels (original BMW) - Supersprint exhaust manifold - CSL brake discs - Android car radio in original slot MAINTENANCE The vehicle has a full service history, confirming regular servicing every 2 years. Servicing has been carried out mainly at BMW dealerships, but also by specialists in the model. In addition to the logbook, we have a very large number of invoices, from 2012 to the present day. The last service was carried out in October 2024 at 194, 000 km. During this 'Inspection I', the engine oil and filters were changed, as well as the exhaust silencer. Previously, the vehicle had undergone a large number of maintenance and mechanical restoration operations, costing over €30, 000. Among the main ones: October 2023: new CS rims August 2023 / 193, 000 kms: new rear axle July 2023 / 193, 000 kms: transmission bearing and universal joint replacement November 2020 / 192, 000 kms: cylinder head gasket, 1 intake valve, valve stem gaskets and upper engine gaskets replacement + front and rear suspension replacement (original BMW) + disc/ pad replacement, with avia hoses and AVG caliper repair August 2018: replacement of passenger airbag mat May 2017 / 189, 000 kms: replacement of connecting rod bearings + fitting of rear floor reinforcements + valve clearance adjustment The 4 Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tyres were replaced in October 2023 and are in near-new condition. Brake discs and pads are new, replaced 2, 500 kms ago. CONDITION The bodywork has been fully restored and is in concours condition. The complete "Interlagos Blue Metallic" paintwork was carried out in 2017 by a recognised professional, with complete dismantling. What's more, it has been polished to an exceptional shine! To protect this magnificent work, a "self-healing" PPF protection was applied to the entire vehicle. In fact, several years later, the paintwork remains absolutely perfect. The interior is in very good condition. There are no major defects in the upholstery, just slight signs of wear. The condition of the leather is above average for a car of this mileage, attesting to the care taken by its last owners. The steering wheel has recently been redone and the gear knob replaced (original BMW). All the electrical equipment is fully functional. +++++++++++++++++++++++ The vehicle is delivered with its two original keys, its service book, a large file of invoices and old roadworthiness tests.
