Auto Storica is pleased to announce the sale of this Alpine-Renault A110 1300 G. Few machines arouse as much emotion and respect as the Alpine-Renault A110. This little French gem is much more than a car: it's a living piece of history, a rally legend that still sends shivers down the spines of those lucky enough to see it in action. Conceived as a small, lightweight two-seater sports coupé, early versions were rather modest, with just 51bhp. Our example is the 1300 G version, developed in the late 1960s in Dieppe, France. Powered by a 1. 3-litre Gordini engine - the same block as the R8 Gordini - and fitted with twin Weber 40 carburettors, it produced 105bhp at 5, 000rpm, offering impressive performance for its time. It may not seem much at first glance, but it reached 200kph. Because if there's one word that defines the Alpine A110, it's lightness: with just 700 kg on the scales, its power-to-weight ratio is exceptional. Its tubular chassis guarantees agile, precise and fun driving - ideal for winding roads or mountain passes, where it could beat rivals twice as powerful... and twice as heavy. Aesthetically, the Alpine A110 is pure sporting elegance. The design is resolutely racing, with twin headlamps integrated into a fibreglass body that is barely a metre high. The simple but functional interior is entirely focused on the driving experience, with bucket seats, a small steering wheel, precise steering and minimal insulation to ensure that every bend feels like it's being driven. Sixty years have not passed without a trace, and our example bears witness to this. The mechanicals are in perfect condition, and the braking system has been completely overhauled in our workshops: calipers, pads and master cylinder are all new.
