This Jaguar XK-R is an XKR 100 version, made to honour the 100th anniversary of Sir William Lyons, founder of Jaguar, in a run of 500 units, 250 coupes and 250 cabriolets, not sold in France.
It’s a true collector’s youngtimer, imported from Japan, in excellent overall presentation, equipped with all available options.
The sumptuous 20-inch BBS R Performance “Montréal” alloy wheels are exclusive and give a sporty stance to this luxury statutorily‑class car. This character is also underscored by Brembo brakes, red Jaguar wheel centre caps “growler”, the mesh grilles and the hood vents. An exclusive red, black and silver badge on the XKR 100 bonnet provides the final exterior touch and definitively differentiates it from its sister XK8.
The interior of the XKR 100 features numerous new R Performance aluminium finishes, giving a distinctly sporty look and contrasting with the “Warm Charcoal” leather. Aluminium is used for the pedals, door handles, instrument surrounds, gear selector surround, and the gearknob at the shift lever. The Momo steering wheel and gearknob are leather-wrapped and carry the R Performance logo.
The new Recaro R Performance sport seats at the front and rear offer solid lateral support and enhance the sense of connection with the car, especially for the driver. All seats are covered in soft Autolux leather and bear the Recaro logo, with the front seats heated and memory-equipped. The sports interior is completed by a grey-streaked maple dashboard subtly crowned with the inscription “Jaguar XKR 100”.
Jaguar’s computer-assisted CATS suspension provides a very direct road feel, delivering an optimal blend of sporty handling and long-distance ride comfort worthy of a luxury tourer. The XKR 100’s performance is further enhanced by the R Performance Handling pack, which includes recalibrated CATS for even firmer, more dynamic handling. Springs, anti-roll bars, and steering have been recalibrated for increased precision and feel, especially in corners.
The XKR 100 is equipped with a five-speed automatic transmission, ABS, stability control, traction control and Jaguar’s innovative adaptive cruise control (ACC). The latter uses radar technology to maintain a constant safety distance from the vehicle ahead or to hold a constant speed if the road ahead is clear.
The long list of additional equipment includes: a DVD navigation system, a premium audio system with a CD changer, rear parking assist, automatic climate control, frontal and side airbags (with Jaguar’s adaptive restraint system), a trip computer, a heated windscreen, an electrochromic rearview mirror, central locking, front cup holders, automatic headlights, electrically adjustable heated exterior mirrors, front fog lamps, and rain-sensing wipers.
