Beskrivning
THE SPRIGHTLY little Triumph 1300 fwd (front wheel drive) was a neat and tidy, up-market smaller family saloon which fared quite well in the late 1960s. Certainly quirky too with that "magic wand" style gear lever positioned where it was, it came with an impressive interior. Strangely enough, most of those interiors have survived the test of time really well. This one certainly has done. It is super. Fresh looking un-damaged seats and excellent woodwork. She just needs a carpet set for the cabin area, although at least their absence reveals rock solid floors. Looks good underneath too and is on the key, driving through the gears and stopping. Engine is really sweet, even though for some technical reason I have never been able to understand, most of them sound like an old fashioned grocery store bacon slicer when the starter motor kicks in. Sweet as a nut after that.
Cosmetically, she is a few shades of blue, although it is easy enough to tell that navy was the original colour. A solid and cute example and not showing any inherently bad rust or rot. It's all surface stuff and, if you choose to, I would suggest the old girl is well worth painting!
An ideal "starter classic" for under 2. 5k. Absolute bargain!
