Introduced in late 1953 at the Paris Salon and was, at the time, the flagship sporting Triumph Twin aimed very directly at the huge US market
It was the first twin-cylinder Triumph to feature new rear swing-arm suspension
Utilised the 6T cast iron head and barrels but featured a more powerful engine using higher compression pistons, higher lift cams and a bigger Amal 289 carburettor
The Tiger 110 was phased out in 1961 when the new T120 Bonneville donned the mantle of Triumph's leading sports bike
This highly original example is presented in very good overall condition
Matching numbers and original number plate
First year of production and featuring unique items such as front pilot light, remote float barrel Amal 289 carburettor and ribbed 8-inch front brake with air scoops
Running well last year, engine turns easily with good compression
Maintained by the late Triumph expert, Hughie Hancox, with receipts in file
Big history file containing original RF60 buff log book dated 1954, old MOTs, old tax discs, numerous receipts, old photos, old V5C and two spare carburettor floats
An important piece of Triumph history
UK-registered on a current V5C
