Description
This 4x4 from 1983 is a Mercedes 280 GE W460 equipped with a 6-cylinder M110 engine. The vehicle is sold complete with the following accessories: rear bench, technical manual, microfiche, Mercedes accessories, toolkit, 3-ton hydraulic jack, tow hook, front and rear bumper guards.
The technical inspection was carried out in August 2024. This rare specimen is offered after a full mechanical restoration, including:

BODYWORK / PAINT
The paint is original and presents well for its age, with a beautiful patina reflecting the vehicle’s use and authentic history. No misalignment of panels or structural damage detected; with the exception of a noticeable dent on the right rear wing, the body shows no signs of an accident. Chrome elements, rubber seals and glazing have been inspected and repaired or replaced as needed. The underbody is in very good condition and requires no welding or further work. No perforating rust observed — only light surface oxidation in places, consistent with the vehicle’s age.
TECHNICAL
Mechanically, the car is in excellent condition following its full restoration. The engine starts perfectly cold or hot, the automatic transmission shifts smoothly, and all components have been overhauled or replaced as needed. No oil or fluid leaks detected. Brakes, suspension, steering and transmission function perfectly. The odometer shows 63, 200 km, and the vehicle delivers a smooth on‑road drive while showcasing its robustness and off‑road capabilities.
INTERIOR
The interior is in very good condition, with minimal wear on the original seats. The floor is almost new, and the rear carpet has been restored. The dashboard is also in excellent condition, with all instruments and equipment functioning. The radio system was altered by a previous owner, but all other elements — lighting, ventilation, instrumentation — function correctly.

HISTORY
This superb 4x4 is a used vehicle. Initially used for professional purposes by its first owner, it was assigned to Africa for Radio France. It was repatriated to mainland France in the early 2000s, where it remained stored in a garage until being recommissioned in 2023.
