Wolverhampton-based Clyno Engineering Company became the third-largest car manufacturer in the UK at its peak, largely due to the success of its 10. 8/ 11/ 11. 9hp range, with an estimated 35, 000 units produced
The 11HP model (which also encompassed the 10. 8hp and 11. 9hp variants, primarily a rating difference) shared many features and was a mainstay of the Clyno brand
Powered by a 1, 386cc four-cylinder side-valve Coventry-Climax Model F engine, the mainstay of Clyno car production during the 1920s
Registered in 1926, this 11HP Four-Seat Tourer spent a significant period of its life in Australia before returning to the UK in the early 1990s and joining our vendor's collection in 2009
Attractively presented in 'pillar box' red with matching artillery wheels, black wings and running boards
Supplied with paperwork dating back to the early 2000s, along with a Clyno parts and price catalogue
The car has been fully restored in the past but has not run for over 10 years so should be regarded as a project
The odometer indicates 93 miles which may have been since the restoration
There understood to be around 200 Clynos active in the UK with an excellent Owner's Club
VSCC-eligible and ideal for shows, rallies, or adding to a collection of pre-war Tourers
