The 1989 Fiat X1/ 9 Grand Finale marked the end of UK production for the Bertone-built sports car, produced in limited numbers as a commemorative Final Edition and now increasingly sought after by marque enthusiasts
First registered in 1989, having had one family owner from new and used only in dry conditions before joining a private Fiat collection
Finished in Metallic Mica Red, described as remaining in original specification, with notably well preserved and unmarked original multicoloured detailed seat coverings and believed to be the best example remaining
Powered by a mid-mounted four-cylinder 1. 5-litre engine driving through a 5-speed manual gearbox, offering the balanced handling and accessible performance for which the X1/ 9 is known
The car is presented without modification, in original condition retaining its factory specification and original features
Showing 33, 430 miles, it is believed to have had no previous body repairs or restoration and is said to remain in excellent condition, recently serviced by TJ Vickers who replaced the cambelt and clutch
The Bertone handbook pack is present although supporting paperwork was lost when the original owner’s house was cleared
This Grand Finale represents an opportunity to acquire a carefully kept and low mileage example of Fiat’s distinctive mid-engined sports car
