The Austin Princess is a range of luxury cars produced by Austin and its subsidiary Vanden Plas from 1947 to 1968. If to you a mini Rolls-Royce is a concept that escapes you, know that this is exactly what Austin did in the 1960s. The Austin Princess 1100 was launched in 1963 as a luxurious variant of the BMC ADO16. The Vanden Plas Princess 1100 features the square grille with vertical bars, fog lights on either side of the grille, and an interior layout in keeping with the marque’s other models (leather seats, dashboard and door-card trim in polished walnut, picnic tables behind the front seats). The Vanden Plas Princess 1100 innovates with such a level of luxury in the compact car category.
