Honda ST1100 Pan European Police Bike with a very interesting past!
Originally worked with the Metropolition Police in London. Retired in 2001 and sold through aution to Action Vehicles Ltd, a company specialising in the supply of vehicles to the film and television industry. I understand this particular bike was used for some time by ITV for the TV series "The Bill". I purchased it earlier this year on behalf of the Voluntry Emergency Service (VES), who deliver blood and other urgent medical supplies to hospitals around the West Midlands. We find these Pans are perfect for the task, and when we see a good genuine Police bike we try and buy it.
Unfortunately the work of the VES has been reduced somewhat with the completion of the huge Walsgrave hospital and the in house services this hospital can now offer. The bike, therefore, has never been used and has to be sold.
It is in excellent condition, having been well maintained throughout its life. It is complete with heated grips, panniers, tall screen and full blue strobes and rear red warning lights (although these will have to be covered if using on the road, unless you are permitted to display them). It starts and runs well and the clutch, gears and brakes are smooth and operate correctly. A really nice bike for an emergency service, collector or prop supplier.
