Here is a stunning example of the very rare and highly sought after MX5 VR Limited Model.
This version is the Combination A in the beautiful Vin Rouge colour with cream leather interior.
Only 700 were produced for the Japanese home market, with very few making their way over to the UK.
This one was imported into the UK in 2003 and has covered 101k miles.
This model has a fantastic specification which sets it apart from other MK1 MX5's:-
It has the later 'Type II' spec engine which means it has a factory fitted lightened flywheel and revised 16-bit ECU which improves power performance to 133 bhp and lets the engine rev more easily.
It has Torsen Slip Differential which makes a dramatic difference out on the road in terms of acceleration.
It also has a factory fitted engine bay strut brace to improve handling.
Needless to say the car drives as good as it looks!
It has cream leather seats with the distinctive Roadster logo embroidered on each headrest (fully working speakers in the headrests)
These are in excellent condition for their age with no excessive wear or tear.
The cream carpets are in very good condition with no cuts or holes.
It also comes with a very nice polished alloy gearknob and handbrake handle, air conditioning, electric windows with one touch driver's window power steering and a Kenwood CD player.
It is fitted with original Eunos alloy wheels and all tyres have excellent tread.
A brand new soft top roof was fitted only 2 weeks ago.
It has also been fitted with some very nice upgrades:-
A Jasma stainless steel 4 branch exhaust manifold
Push button start
Japspeed Twin Loop Stainless Steel Roll Bar
Stainless Steel Front Grill
Mazdaspeed sports exhaust
Improved suspension components including:-
Kayaba shock absorbers to the front
KYB Super Gas shock absorbers to the rear
What also sets this car apart from many others out there is the lovely rust free condition.
The wheel arches are a testament to how well this MX5 has been looked after.
The underside, chassis rails etc are also completely solid.
The paintwork has a beautiful shine and looks stunning.
As with any car of nearly 20 years old it will have the odd blemish here and there but this is a very good example and I would urge anyone who is seriously interested to come and see the car to fully appreciate its condition.
Long MOT until 8th May 2015 (with no advisories)
Taxed until 1st December 2014
The car comes with comprehensive paperwork and receipts.
Most recent work carried out in April 2014 (totalling £660) includes new clutch slave cylinder and clutch master cylinder, new lambda sensor, new rear brake pads, new offside rear shock absorber and new handbrake cable.
This rare VR LTD is an appreciating classic which has been very well looked after and is in beautiful condition.
