The Vauxhall Senator "B" 3. 0i 24v with a manual gearbox is now regarded as one of the most iconic British Police vehicles of all time. It was loved by the Police officers that drove them and feared by those that it pursued.
I have here a genuine 1993 Thames Valley Police Vauxhall Senator 3. 0i 24v, fully restored and equipped to correct period specification including all lighting and sounds that you would expect of the car.
The car itself still retains its correct "Base" trim with hard wearing cloth interior, thick carpets and comes complete with a staggeringly comprehensive history file from it's time in Police service including a few choice comments from individual drivers from back in the day all presented in a huge A4 file. In addition to this there is another large A4 file of more recent works, magazine articles, vehicle hand books and more. There's a lot of reading!
Most recently the car has been fitted with a fully refurbished light bar, the interior has been refreshed, deep cleaned and AutoGlym polished. Mechanically the car has received a great deal of attention to ensure that it drives as it should which is, as you would expect, truly up to early '90s super saloon standards. Since the photographs were taken the car has been fitted with correct period Thames Valley Police number plates - L862GUD.
Of course it must be recognised that this car, just like any other car that is 23 years old, is not mint, some irreplaceable trim pieces may be worn, the milometer does not work and the body has patina. Never lose sight of the fact that in its first three years of life it worked hard, which as mentioned is fully documented. All invoices for recent work are included and the car has an MOT certificate valid until 1st October 2016. This means of course that the car is a truly useable, appreciating, classic.
The price listed is negotiable, however this is a unique vehicle, highly sought after and staggeringly rare. There is no other on the road in private ownership and its value can only increase over time. Classic Police vehicles are now attracting premiums over their civilian counterparts as you are undoubtedly aware with their recent TV appearances.
