For sale is my beautiful and very original BMW e30 318is.

For those that don't know what they are looking at I will outline a little bit of the information on this rare model -
The 318is was a limited edition run and one of the last models of the e30 range. It came fitted with the new M42 engine, a four cylinder, twin cam 1. 8 litre, 16 valve engine that is high revving producing 134 hp at 6, 000 rpm and 127 lb-ft at 4, 600 rpm. It is a very characterful, revvy engine which really does enjoy being worked.
The 'is' also came equipped as standard with Sports Suspension including rear Anti Roll Bars, sports seats, front vented discs; rear solid discs, power steering, electric windows, electric mirrors, M-tech steering wheel, M-tech leather gear knob and gaiter, front and rear spoilers and BMW cloth sport seats.
My particular car is in excellent condition.
Exterior -
The paint work is in remarkable condition with only two minor scratches on the front wing to detract from it. These are in the process of being fixed (weather permitting) with genuine BMW laser blue touch up paint.
The front right hand door side moulding has come loose as can be seen in the photos but I have the trim and it only requires the clips to be refitted. I will order these.
Other than these very minor blemishes the car is in top condition and I would say very close to being one of the best in the country.
The original bbs wheel are in very good condition and come with 4 brand new tyres.
Interior -
Is very clean with fitted mats which have been protected by rubber overmats.
The seats are all in great condition with barely any noticeable wear to the drivers side bolster.
There is a slight crack in the dash board as is common with e30s but it isn't bad and this car comes with a fitted carpet/ cover for the dash (previous owner had sent from Australia) which covers and protects the dash from the sun.
The interior is in brilliant condition for a car of any age, let alone a car that is 25 years old.
I perhaps sound a little critical but want to highlight any minor imperfections. The car really is in remarkable condition and must be seen.
Mechanical -
This particular car was first registered on 7th January 1991 and delivered to its first owner by BMW dealer Leslie H Trainer and Son in Swansea, Wales.
It was returned to the dealer to receive its running in inspection at 1140 miles, from which point on the car was maintained by the supplying dealer until 68000 miles.
The car was then looked after by BMW specialists Autotech in Caerleon, Gwent.
From there the car moved up to Sheffield and was maintained by Sheffield car centre. During this time between 2004 - 2012 the car only covered 4000 miles and indeed has only covered a further 6000 miles since 2012.
It is a very detailed service history with all of the invoices present and many of the previous MOT certificates.
The owner previous to me was a BMW enthusiast and had loved and maintained the car accordingly. There are many receipts from his ownership showing the car has wanted for nothing. During his ownership he uprated the speakers and added tweeters. This improves the sound no end but looks completely OEM. The stereo is a sony unit but blends in beautifully as the lights are the same colour as the instruments panel.
The car also has the improved quicker "purple tag" BMW steering rack conversion as fitted by Rally Prep. This, coupled with a front strut brace makes the car much easier to drive and incredibly sharp at turn in.
This changes the turn, lock to lock, from 4 to 3. 2.
My ownership -
During my ownership I have carried out an Oil service, including new filter, air filter, fuel filter. I have receipts to prove.
I have access to a garage so I am able to work on the car. I have also taken photos of the underside of the car to show the condition.
The jacking point was showing signs of corrosion so has been welded on both sides. This was noted on the MOT and was the only advisory but has been rectified. This was the only corrosion on the car either on the body or the underside as can be see by the photos or on inspection.
A reconditioned steering rack was fitted 4 months ago as there was a leak from one of the boots.
4 x Bridgestone potenza tyres fitted less than 100 miles ago.
I have loved my time with this car, it has such character, looks brilliant and is a joy to drive. No ABS, no traction control and a deserved reputation for being tail happy, it is great fun and I only hope that I have managed to keep it in great condition for its next owner.
This was my second car and so only used when I wanted to and I am only selling as I have changed to a boxster, as such I am not interested in a swap or p/ x.
It was a bit wordy but we got there in the end!
