I bought this a while ago as I had always wanted to own one.
Back in the 70, s I used to visit the Car Craft workshop in my lunch hour from work, just to see what interesting
vehicles the boys were working on. The CC Zero was there kit project at the time.
On one of the last visits that I made to the workshop, the guys had there bright yellow CC zero parked outside,
I promised myself that one day I would own one and have a play. Fast forward to now!
I bought this around 18 months ago.
I just have had no time to play. I have other projects that have consumed my time.
The pictures say most of what I can say but some things are important.
I have had the motor running, but I have not driven it. It looks as though it has been stood for even longer than
I have owned it.
The engine sounds solid, but it will need the basics, timing, carb cleaning, fuel tank cleaning and linking up,
electrics under the dash are a mish mash of the original loom and what looks like a different speedo set up
which is not connected to anything.
The car has a set of X19 wheels with new tyres, (It would have had the original steel rims and tyres on it) the
rears are a little wide and do touch the inner arches at times, I have a set of 6mm spacers and some longer
wheel bolts that can be used with the car.
The car has had a new hood which must of cost around £3/ 400.
It needs a seat cover making up.
Four point harnesses on both seating positions.
If you are looking for a project that doesn't eat much then this could be for you.
There was only 22 or 24 of these made, Many went abroad ( they are Fiat 126 based) some may have been
scrapped. Quite rare then?
There are a few light scratches or chips commensurate with its age.
Car craft have the records for this car and to whom it was supplied.
I have a 'performance' exhaust to go with the car.
V5c in my name and here.
This is a project. Do not expect to drive it away
