Produced for only a short period of time between 1971 and 1978 the Maserati Bora was Maserati’s first mid-engine road car. Powered by the legendary 4 cam V8 engine that had its origins in the famous Maserati 450s sports racers from the 1950’s. Available initially in 4. 7 litre form later cars were equipped with a 4. 9 litre engine.
The car offered for sale is from 1972, LHD and was originally delivered to Milan in Italy. During its life it has spent time in Germany before finding its way to North America –repatriated to the UK in 2012 a full restoration was carried out ( there are many photographs documenting the work) finished in spring 2014 the car participated in the Maserati Centennial event in Turin where it received an award in the Concourse judged by some of the most respected Maserati experts in the world.
In 2015 the car participated in the Maserati international Rally in Biarritz. Driving without fault from the UK and Back. It was also on the Maserati owner’s club stand at the NEC classic car show that year.
Only lightly used in 2016 for local classic events Originally a 4. 7 litre car the car has the later 4. 9 engine installed the car is fully UK registered and has a V5C offered for sale with Current UK Mot until August 2017 Please call or e-mail for more details
