Any interest in a low milege C20xe with NO M. O. T?
Reluctant sale but car was suppose to be a slow project but circumstances forced me into using it everyday and due to a long term illness I'm struggling to get back into work. My main source of income is busting cars now and it would be a shame to do to this imo but with it's MOT running out today and its unlikely it'll pass and I've got a car here that probally will it makes sense to just give up and sell it as as will be off the road if I sell the other and I dunno if I'm ever going to be in a posistion to see it right, so seeing if anyone would be interested.
Calibra on the whole are getting rare but a original red-top model and really scarce as allot got broken for engine conversions for other cars. here's a bit of info I got from a Club member ''The original red-tops with distributor are down to 27 on the road, the coil-pack type are 28 excluding SE2's of which there are only 15 on the road'' put it into perspective that something that we can all remember seeing years ago are not as common as we'd think today. This car could be a sound investment for somone
First off its not without its faults:
-
Has a electrical fault on it somewhere that is draining the battery.
-speedo sometimes takes a while to start working, found if you tap it it springs to life. probally a loose connection.
-Fuel gauge dont work probally same issue as above.
-interior could benefit from a good clean and door cards arent in the best shape. (not that its scruffy just cream leather could be brought back up a bit )
-Roof linings past its best.
-Small hole under passengers footwell will a spot of weld
few spots showing its age. about the size of a 5p piece
It does have a bit going for it though:
-Low miles - 62767. not bad for a 1992
-top ends just been rebuilt
-Grooved discs
-Scorpion cat back
-Sunroof still works
I do have a few spares I will include with the car
apart from the exhaust and wheels the car is pretty much standard. I've had a Viper induction kit on it but will be putting the original air box back on it and I even have the origional stereo for it here, although I dont have the code. Thought I'd put it up first see if there's any interest in it. However I won't be giving it away like I said I break cars and a C20xe is worth good money these days, would just be a shame to waste what could be a good car to someone with the time and knowledge to see it right.
