The particularly striking TR4 we offer here was totally restored in the late 90s and has covered just 21, 000 miles since completion. The rebuild included a full engine rebuild by the highly respected TR specialists 'Revingnton TR'. At the time of the engine rebuild the unit was treated to an upgrade to a stage 2 tune, lightened and fully balanced. The Overdrive gearbox was rebuilt by the world renown TR guru Peter Cox. The body was rebuilt using only original Stanpart panels. New electrics all round, new brakes. new exhaust system, new inertia reel seat belts, new trim, new hood, chromed wire wheels and rechromed bumpers. total cost at the completion was in excess of £25, 000. and that is the late 90s.
The car comes with an extensive history file which includes British Motor Industery Heritage certificate showing the car being exported to the US when new then repatriated from the ubiquitous dry state in the 90s. The file also contains a full photographic record of the restoration, a thick wad of all bills covering the rebuild and subsequent expenditure, all old MOTs and an HPI print out showing clean title.
