1988 AUDI 200 AVANT QUATTRO TURBO 200 BHP 1B ENGINE -PEARL WHITE FACELIFT MODEL
For sale is my Audi 200 Avant Turbo Quattro, this is by all accounts a very rare car. Not only a 200 avant but a pearl white facelift model with the 1B 200bhp engine (sister to the MB in the UR Quattro I am told)
this particular car was also a press/ demo car owned by Audi, this is what I have been informed by Audi enthusiasts due to the registration having a BD plate.
(The plate was valued at £400 if anyone wondered 🤷🏼♂️)
The car is a right hand drive manual model with part leather seats, electric windows, climate control and electric seats to name just a few features.
I am listing the car as a project as it is currently not running, (it turns over by hand fine) it has been like this all the time I have owned it, (last run a few years ago) I believe someone started to change the timing belt and had to abandon ship (old belt is still fitted). the rocker cover retainers are still off but the rocker cover has been fitted back for storage. I have lost my dry storage for it and it is a shame for it to sit outside (been dry stored ever since 1999)
The paint is shabby, marks, scuffs so I would say it needs a spray to make it a show room car.
The interior is in good shape with no rips, a few marks but I'm sure upholstery cleaner would do the job.
The wheels: the fronts have been refurbished in the past and sprayed silver rather than pearl white, the rears look to be as original.

KEY AUDI 200 POINTS
Only around 250 of the iconic Audi 200 Avant Turbo Quattros were built and only a hand full registered today (taxed or sorn)
It is an extremely luxurious, amazingly well-handling Audi estate built on FULL Audi ur quattro running gear.
This 1988 (pre-20 valve) version is arguably the best. It has a bomb-proof, 5-cylinder, 10 valve 200bhp 1B engine.
A near-standard 200 Quattro saloon won the Safari Rally in 1987 with Hannu Mikkola.
There were stage wins at the Monte Carlo Rally with (Walter Rohrl)
The competition version won the US TransAm Championship series.
And…a grey metallic Audi 200 Avant was one of James Bond's cars in "The Living Daylights" in 1987.
these cars just do not come up for sale so I have put my price on it, I don't want any hate mail so if its not for you its not for you.
