Triumph GT6 MkIII – Concours Winner
The Triumph GT6 was introduced in 1966 based on the Giovanni Michelotti fastback designed used by the factory Triumph Spitfire racing team at the Le Man 24 hour race. By the introduction of the Mk3 version in 1970 the car out-performed most rivals and was widely acknowledge as one of the most attractive GTs on the market
Milestones are delighted to offer arguably the best matching number Triumph GT6’s on the market today. Owned by the previous keeper for 35years the car was the subject of a total ground up eight year restoration in the 1980/ 90’s. All mechanical components were examined/ replaced where necessary – this included a new head and crankshaft. The body was taken back to bare metal and using only ‘Stanpart’ panels resprayed in Sapphire blue with full rust-proofing. In 2007 the interior was refurbished retaining the original shadow blue colour – my personal favourite, and the car is a real credit to the owner
The GT6 has covered just 22, 000 miles since the rebuild and has always be maintained regardless of cost. The car has won national & international concours competitions, appeared in a number of magazine & buyers guides and is as stunning underneath as from above – the true test of any restoration.
Beautiful styling and a six cylinder sound track make GT6s one of the most popular classics on the marker today. We urge early vieiwing
