Finished in a stunning pure white this Rolls Royce Silver Cloud is going to be the perfect car for you. Unlike other classics, this could quite easily be used as a wedding car to help pay its way. Inside and outside this Silver Cloud is presented in lovely condition and just waiting to carry passengers once again.
The History and Paperwork
- There is some lovely history that will come with this Silver Cloud
- It is first registered back in October of 1956
- We know it left the H R Owen dealership in Berkeley Square London
- The car is said to have been through a body and mechanical refurbishment in 2016
- Within the paperwork, there are MOTs back to 1989
- Along with this, there are also a lot of invoices
- There is some paperwork to show the older registration documents
- It changes between XKR402A, RRO123, and 129 XUA it currently sits on 295 XVD
- During its previous ownership, it was used as part of a larger wedding fleet
- As such the car has been looked after by an in-house mechanic
- It is now your chance to add this car to your collection, you won’t regret it
The Interior
- Stepping inside this Silver Cloud is like stepping into a classic private lounge
- Trimmed head to toe with wood, leather, and nice carpets it is a wonderful place to be
- Up front, the grey leather bench seat is in lovely condition
- The bases are nicely worn around previous owners providing a comfortable place to sit
- Upon the front seat, there was a Chauffer’s hat neatly placed, a nice view into how this car can be used
- In the rear, the large bench seat is also in wonderful condition
- With wingback-like sides and a large central armrest, this area should be more than comfortable for your clients
- Small details in the rear include mirrors set into the pillars and a nice set of picnic tables
- On the floor, you’ll find some nice blue carpet
- Scattered throughout the interior are lovely walnut touches
- Across the tops of the doors, there are long flashes of this wood, but it is mainly found in the front cabin
- Up here the wood is in wonderful condition, it surrounds the dials and adds another element of luxury inside this cabin
- You will enjoy every time that you get into this glorious classic
The Exterior
- Externally this Silver Cloud is presented in lovely condition
- This is probably down to the fact that in 2016 that it received a lot of work externally
- The brilliant white paint is in generally good condition with only a few small areas of wear
- All of the shut lines are well within tolerances and are probably better than new
- To match the good paint condition, all of the chrome elements are in great condition
- Upfront there is the tell-tail Rolls Royce vertical grille with the Spirit of Ecstasy flying proudly
- The front chrome bumper is void of any nasty damage or corrosion
- This condition is very much matched by the rear bumper as well
- On three of the tyres there are 3 older Yokohama all-terrain tyres, with the fourth being a generic tyre
- Sitting on the rims are four hubcaps, these hubcaps are in great condition
- Overall, the exterior of this Rolls Royce is in very good condition and just waiting to get out on the road again
- If you are planning to use it for weddings, then just remember that it is nice and clean
- It will also photograph well on your client's big day
The Mechanics
- Under the split bonnet is a characteristic Rolls Royce engine
- Starting on the button the large 4.9l inline six purrs away quietly
- On the day of the photographs, the car drove into position and turned around with ease
- Thanks to the overhaul in 2016 the engine bay is nice and clean
- During its time with the previous owner, it was kept in tip-top shape by their in-house mechanic
- This resulted in a faultless car that was used for a lot of weddings
- Stored inside for a lot of its life the underside looks to be in good condition upon a quick look
- Fitted with a column selector automatic gearbox is it a very easy car to drive on the road
- Now it’s your time to get in and get going with this wonderful classic
