The CLK 280 Sport coupe Auto is quite a rare variant of the second generation CLK and comes with AMG wheels, boot spoiler, AMG exhaust, AMG spoilers and side skirts, 7 speed switchable gearbox, paddle shift, larger brakes and many more upgrades. Of great importance was the use of the potent V6 chain driven 3.0 litre petrol engine makes this variant a sure fire future classic. This excellent low mileage example in Tanzanite Blue with black sports leather interior, boasts a Full Service History.
This is a well looked after example having had only 5 owners all of which have always tended to the car’s needs and had it regularly serviced. The car is now available having had a recent full service and MOT in April this year when it also received new springs and track rod ends at the front.
The original service book contains 9 services, 5 Mercedes and 4 independent, the most recent on 24/4/21 at 70,181 miles. All the original pack of owner’s manuals are available and the V5 is present showing 4 previous owners.The current MOT expires April 2022. There are two keys, a space saver spare wheel and the jack.
The black leather interior is in lovely condition throughout with a black headlining, extra supportive sport seats and AMG over-mats. The automatic seat belts work well and overall the cabin presents very well with little sign of wear and tear.
The car comes with a huge specification including the 7-speed automatic transmission, steering wheel shift buttons and gearshift paddles, sports suspension, air conditioning, ash wood insets, AMG sports package and a tyre pressure loss system.
It also has the hugely useful through-load facility where the rear seats fold down to create a huge load area.
Finished in Tanzanite Blue Metallic paint, the AMG styling package and the 18” AMG wheels the car looks great from any angle and, other than some small stone chips on the top of the boot lid, it is in near perfect condition.
The AMG wheels, which have all had recent matching performance tyres fitted, have the odd small mark or minor scratch and the AMG exhaust system looks like it has been recently replaced.
The car presents very well and is in very original condition with no sign of rust and clean factory shut lines.
With an excellent service history and recent full service the car appears mechanically sound in all areas. The car starts immediately and drives perfectly smoothly with no untoward noises and the gearshift is almost indiscernible.
The CLK is a great coupe with timeless style and looks. The 3.0 V6 petrol engine produces plenty of performance when required and this Sport version coming with plenty of factory options and that great AMG styling kit should ensure that this car is a natural choice if you’re looking for a useable and practical future classic.
