THE APPEAL
With the original Cayenne facing criticism from some Porsche purists for not being fast enough, the German manufacturer decided to up its game for the 2007 Model Year, introducing a new 495bhp 4.8-litre turbocharged V8 at the top of the model range.
Priced at almost £100,000 before you even went near the options list, the Cayenne 4.8 T was an exclusive and very expensive car, sold in limited numbers despite being by far the best iteration of the performance SUV.
Today, it’s sought after as a used car or modern classic, with those in the know appreciating its masterful engineering and jaw-dropping power.
