Beschreibung

A truly beautiful example and fastidiously maintained. At 52 years old this is a very early model (as evidenced by the forged ‘Jaguar’ logo on the rocker covers, not a sticker), right hand drive, manual, UK delivered matching numbers (on Jaguar heritage certificate) Series III E-Type Jaguar. The car has an extensive history file documenting the maintenance and complete renovation of the car including a recent (2019) total bare metal respray, bringing the car to the original delivered dark blue finish, with the original delivered leather interior. The engine runs beautifully with strong oil pressure, a new clutch and bearing were installed when the gearbox/ engine were removed for the paint work. The car benefits from new stainless steel wire wheels, a new stainless exhaust system and further benefits from having new brake lines throughout and stainless pistons in all the brake callipers. The independent rear suspension has recently been renovated (2020) to include new GAZ shock absorbers and springs together with new hand brake pads and hand brake cable. New historically correct Dunlop SP sport tyres all round, original jack and original tool kit round off this impressive car. All of the major work (way too much to list all the items here) has been photographically documented and all invoices (totalling tens of thousands of pounds) are contained within the extensive history file. Cars in this condition do not come up for sale very often and this is an opportunity to purchase a sound motoring investment (better than money in the bank!!). The car has a full MOT with no advisories. A new project awaits so the car must be presented to a new owner/ carer. Generally, there are a number of Series III Jaguar E-Types on the market at any one time, however, not many have received a level of restorative TLC to both body and mechanicals as this car.

In conclusion – Fastidiously maintained, presented in stunning opalescent dark blue and regenerated to live for decades out on the open road, it is hoped that the new keeper of this British automotive icon will care for it in the manner to which it has evidently become accustomed. Indeed, there is little doubt that the car will serve its new owner well for many years to come.
