A superb original unmolested 1968 Lotus Cortina Mark 2a . Original service book records being supplied by Ford main dealer in Barnsley 12/ 1/ 1968 to H . Bell Esq from Hull. every invoice for service to 1978 . 5 owners from new . substantial body restoration in 1997 . numerous invoices recording all work carried out then and since then . The last owner in the North of Scotland who owned it for ten years, was unable to drive but had the car MOTd every year so very few miles recorded . Near perfect paintwork . Perfect panel gaps . Honest underside with no nasty underseal only wax oil as can be seen in the wheel arches and in the boot . Works Restall bucket seats . running and driving perfectly . This must be one of the best examples not having been welded wrecked raced or rallied . I am not a Lotus expert but bought it to keep as an investment . Being a VCC member I really only use veteran cars . I have been offered a rather expensive veteran that I wish to buy so sadly the Lotus has to go . Find another one like it !
