Super rare specification 1990 325i Touring in Diamond Black metallic with manual gearbox, air-con and full black sports leather interior including heated front seats, refinished MTec steering wheel and gearknob, new black headlining and visors. Electric windows all round, electric sunroof and factory towbar.
Car history has a huge number of old MOTs, service book stamps and even old Tax Discs. Had been in storage before last year and then given a thorough overhaul (a labour of love really) including:
Full service including all fluids - engine, gearbox and diff oil, coolant, and brake/ clutch / PAS fluids.
Valve clearances adjusted
Timing belt and all 3 auxiliary belts replaced
Water pump and all water pipes replaced
New engine mounts
New anti roll bar links
New front wishbone bushes
New rear axle bushes (upgraded Heritage range polyurethane)
New rear suspension top mounts
New upgraded MTec drilled and slotted discs all round
New upgraded Goodrich brake lines
New hard lines to rear axle
New pads and handbrake shoes
New tyres and refurbished wheels, even has a good spare.
Exhaust was removed completely, Manifold and front section stripped and recoated with VHT paint, then refitted with new copper flashed nuts. Rear section replaced with a Scorpion stainless steel silencer with custom tailpipes fabricated to match the OEM style and angle. (I'm a details guy!)
Head-linings are notorious in these cars, plus time consuming and expensive to replace. This has a fresh black headlining matched to the M3 style material plus I even sourced black sunvisors.
New Blaupunkt period style radio with Bluetooth handsfree and USB
The typical mirror base corrosion has been tackled and a fresh MTec II front spoiler fitted at the same time.
Its such a light, responsive, revvy little car which drives superbly and puts a smile on your face every time you drive it. You get thumbs up everywhere you go and people taking pictures when you're not looking.
Serviced and possibly owned by Autobahn Services for many years hence the (ABAHN?) plate which comes with the car.
A great car to put away and drag out for shows or just enjoy it every day. I have a proper model specific loadbay liner too if you want to take the dog!
