Description
1971 Type 74 Lotus Europa Twin Cam for sale, 2 former keepers. In Lotus Yellow LO7 this vehicle was subject to a full bare chassis restoration within its life and spent most of its lifetime in South Africa until imported back to the UK in 2022. A nicely patinated example, condition commensurate with its age and use, fitted with period allow wheels and a re-trimmed interior in cloth. At some point in its life the Lotus/ Ford twin cam engine was replaced with a tuned Gordini 1600cc 807 crossflow Hemi engine, this along with its overall condition is reflected in the asking price. Body and chassis remain original albeit restored.
The vehicle comes with a dating letter from the Historic Lotus Register when it was inspected in October 2022 and has a Lotus Classic Certificate of Vehicle Provenance together with a Workshop Manual, Service Parts List, Renault 16 Workshop Manual, a copy of the original Owners Handbook, spare alloy wheel, tool kit and 2 sets of keys. There are some history documents.
Overall, this is a nice useable example of this rare and historically significant vehicle which could be enjoyed in its existing condition or gradually improved as I have done. Known to Club Lotus through this current member.
