Description
At the time of its launch it was a controversial design, with its bug-eyed lights and a grille that looked like a mouth, but the car was very well-engineered.
The range comprised “Executive” as the base model, then “Ghia” which had de-luxe trim level, and then the top of the range, the “Ultima”. Various engines were offered ranging from the 2. 0 litre, then a 2. 3, and a 2. 9 V6.
The absolute top of the range was the very rare Ultima 2. 9 V6 24V Cosworth version. There were few made due to their cost and are very rare.
The 2. 9 V6 Cosworth was dynamic, the engine being coupled with an uprated sports suspension, so the car goes and handles very well and it is still a great car.
The specification includes all round electric windows and mirrors, air con, electric heated leather seats, radio cassette and cd multi changer, cruise control etc.
