Description
1952 Morris's Minor Spit Screen Convertible original factory convertible. My morris has only two owners and me I bought the car from a refutable dealer “West End Classics.” Finished in a very attractive camel stone with as new all burgundy upholstery and contrasting soft top. Fully refurbished by a Morris Minor specialist a few years ago to a very good standard. The original 803cc engine was to be fair rather underpowered and a popular and indistinguishable as on this example the fitment of the later 1098cc engine thereby allowing the car to keep up with modern traffic. The carburettor has been serviced and the throttle cable and the choke cable have been replaced. The radiator and water pump are new.
The underneath is rock solid and protected from the elements with a good coating of wax oil. Recent new exhaust fitted and new battery.
Nice touches being it still has the factory fitted air cleaner and tortoise style steering wheel with the innocence and simplicity of the dashboard is simply charming, in a world of switches and buttons.
Coachwork and chrome are all in superb condition as per photos, flashing indicators and front seat belts fitted. As new cream hood frame and burgundy soft top. Cheese grater grill and waterfall dash. Lovingly looked after. Garaged in only comes out when the sun is shining She has been to many shows and won an award for best convertible. She could be taken down to a local car show with pride or driven out in the summer sun with the top down with confidence, admiring glances seem to follow.
