10 years ago this car had body off restoration. chasse and body work in excellent condition NO rust, dark blue with a touch of flake over cream, black wheel arches .
The sun roof was removed when the car was restored its a very good job and hard to tell it ever had one.
Running on new Radial tyres.
All electrics and wiring loom are new and channelled in tubing.
Battery 12 months old.
Engine starts and runs very well, new SU fuel pump, new plugs leads, points, coil. new fuel tank and sender. fuel gauge works but not with current sender so smiths fuel gauge fitted.
Does not burn oil or use water compression is good on all 6 cylinders. Runs in E5 with a little additive.
Brake shoes are new all round and drums skimmed, they are taking some bedding in and will need some adjustment, but they do work and the car is used on regular runs .
Steering is the usual old car continual correction and cruises nicely.
Full set of keys for all locks and ignition .
The interior is a lovely cream seats, door cards, carpets and head lining in perfect condition.
There is some paper work history with the car copies of old logbooks.
Under the car is free from any rot. the odd drop of oil as old cars do.
THIS CAR IS 1937 NOT 1938 AND 1700CC NOT 2366 AS IN DISCRIPTION I CANT CHANGE IT IN EDIT!!I bought this car as an upgrade from an Austin 10 and the 10 was an upgrade from an Austin7, I am now moving on to an Austin 18. so I am quite experienced in looking after old Austin's, also an active member of the local ATDC.
This car was on the ATDC restoration show stand at the NEC at the start of the year and drew lots of attention and comments.
I fell for the car as soon as I saw it as most people do, I have done several weddings and proms in it.
Its a real head turner often getting waves from passers buy.
Its used on a regular basis on long and short runs.
