Selling my low mileage only 84k (or 136km), this is a more desirable S-Special edition model with a manual gearbox and 1. 8ltr engine. This Eunos spec came with lots of extras as standard from factory. Car is rust free, with solid sills and arches. Interior is exceptionally clean and tidy. Long MOT history till April 2026, few minor advisories have all since been fixed.
Black paintwork in very good condition for its age. Car has been well cared for during its life and everything in good working order. The suspension was re-built and Bilstein shocks had new uprated MazdaSpeed coil springs fitted. Following the suspension work, the car went to a specialist for suspension alignment to optimise setup and handling. This shows in its current handling and smooth drive. It has a Torsen Limited Slip differential, stainless steel kick plates and a reinforced bracing on the interior and underside. For peace of mind, previous owner had the rear sills replaced and painted to a high standard. There is no rust or corrosion anywhere.
Also comes with extremely rare electric side wing mirrors fully adjustable, electric door windows, air-conditioning and power-steering. The rare badged S-special floor mats are present and in great condition. Behind the seats, a folding Eunos wind-breaker is also fitted, again rare to find these. Soft top roof is like new condition, with a clear plastic zip-down window. A matching hardtop roof with heated rear-screen is also available for sale separately if buyer is interested.
Fitted with stylish lightweight 15-inch BBS lightweight alloy wheels. The coolant radiator has been replaced with a new one. The engine has an uprated crankshaft giving additional performance, this is noticeable when driving. A full stainless steel exhaust and manifold was also fitted. The additional engine works were done by Kent MX5 Services, a well-regarded MX5 Specialist. A MazdaSpeed front splitter lip is also fitted on the front bumper giving the car a nice stance. Seats are in good condition, with no rips or tears. A new battery has been fitted.
The car sounds amazing to drive and with the additional performance from the uprated crankshaft, delivers lots of power as you move through the gears. Spare wheel, jack etc. are all present in the boot as well as the leather tonneau cover for when the roof is down. Nardi leather steering wheel. There is a good folder of paperwork to go with the car.
The V5 logbook is in-hand and shows 5 former keepers. Overall, this is a really desirable example of a rare MK1 model hard to find in such clean and original condition.
