Description
This is a lovely MG Magnette ZA. Built over the 5th and 6th of December 1955 and first registered January 1956 and according to the Heritage Certificate (which is included in the sale), carries the original number plates. It is in the factory Magnette colour Birch Grey, with lovely maroon interior upholstery and carpets. It has had extensive work and restoration carried out since I bought the car in 2016. I have detailed records of all the restoration and work done on the car by an MG specialist. The work included a bare metal respray in the original Birch Grey and the lovely wood dashboard totally restored, along with all other interior woodwork. Much was done besides, too detailed to list here.
The car has sensible upgrades: a 1798cc MGB engine (a 1978 engine totally rebuilt by Ivor Searle with unleaded head), MGB gearbox with overdrive, front disc brakes, and up- rated rear axle. A brand new exhaust has been fitted, along with new carpets and new leather front seats.
A number of spares come with the car, service items as well as a brand new unused breathable interior car cover. All these items are worth over £500 and included in the price of the car. This is a lovely very usable classic, keeps up in modern traffic conditions and will cruise happily all day in overdrive with plenty of spare power given the larger MGB engine. I’ve really enjoyed using it and have toured in Europe and the UK. I’ve displayed it at many car shows and it is always admired as they are quite rare now. Sadly it’s time for it to go to another enthusiast as I really don’t use it enough now.
It’s always been garaged and looked after and serviced regularly, much by myself. Many more pics available on request. MOT and Road tax exempt. All sensible offers considered.
