Description
Bought this bike in 2017! It is not in original condition, also cannot verify the mileage or service history! The bike was in a sorry state when I purchased it! Have spend a lot of time money, effort and changed a few things to make this reliable to ride (invoice for £830 in 2024). Starts, runs and rides well
Bean can has been replaced with electronic ignition, world of difference.
Replaced throttle, choke cables, petcocks on tank, brackets.
Brake adapter and larger brake disc fitted to improve braking, original disc available.
Frame has been powder coated previous owner.
Seat has been recovered, original old cover available
Pannier Boxes (Krauser) need work but present, including the smaller right handside (rare to find)
Mud guard both high and low version
Large screen fitted and smaller screen available
Bought engine guard, still to be painted and fitted
Decals for original look - after market decals
If checking the MOT status a previous MOT station filled in the incorrect mileage hence there is a difference 2024 to 2025, this is difficult to change. Bought this as I was a big fan of the Paris Dakar race back in the 80's and had a dream to own one! The Bmw R80 GS started the single swing arm, R100 entered the Dakar race and won 4 year in a row, pure heritage.
We are just custodians of these vehicles, it's time me hand it over to someone else to take to the next level. Enjoyed owning it and will never get back what I spend on it, but it has been a journey.
This GSPD was supplied by a BMW dealer in Ayr Scotland to its first owner and has other owners. I am the third owner from what I understand, but this I cannot verify
