A simple, very healthy, well-maintained car, this model rivalled the Peugeot 504 and the Citröen DS in its day. The car's distinctive feature was its rear hatch, making it the first estate saloon. It was fitted with long-door headlights and the gutters were integrated into the roof. It won the Car of the Year award in 1966. This popular car, equipped with four independent wheels, was full of originality, and the TX model represented the ultimate in luxury. As such, it had electric windows for the front seats and backlit dashboard buttons. In this version, a stainless steel spoiler, fixed to the top of the tailgate, completes the equipment to improve roadholding. ENGINE: 4-cylinder 90 bhp GEARBOX: 5 gears on the steering wheel. The model offered, still equipped with its original cassette radio, has a leatherette interior in good condition, a central locking system. The sheet metal wheels are also original. The owner has had a key-operated bonnet lock fitted (original Renault) as well as a circuit breaker.
