- The legendary 80s trail: first-generation DUNKELBLAU of the GS 80 (Hubert Auriol, double winner of the Paris-Dakar 1981-1983), the first twin-cylinder trail with a driveshaft, fitted with a front disc brake.
- Purchased in 2008: first registration on 17/ 08/ 1981.
- Matching numbers: frame and engine identification numbers 6252510.
- Major upgrade carried out in 1999: bore enlarged to 1000 cc and switched to unleaded petrol 95.
