History of the Porsche 911 model – Type 997 Phase 1
Overview
The Porsche 911 Type 997 represents the sixth generation of the legendary 911. Launched in 2004, it replaces the previous 996 generation and stands out for returning to a more classic styling, notably thanks to its rounded headlights inspired by the early 911s.
Production of Phase 1, often referred to as 997. 1, runs from 2004 to 2008 (with some variants extending to 2009 in certain markets).

Design and aesthetics
Return to classic round headlights, closer to the original 911, which appealed to purists.
Interior reworked with a higher perceived quality than the previous generation, combining comfort, premium materials and a sporty design.
Technology and mechanicals
Structure and chassis revised and improved compared to the 996, delivering better handling and driving dynamics.
Rear-mounted flat-six engines newer and more progressive: 3. 6 L for the Carrera and 3. 8 L for the Carrera S.

Porsche 911 (997) Carrera S – 2005 – Automatic transmission
Timeless icon of the marque, this 2005 Porsche 911 Type 997 Carrera S combines elegance, performance and authenticity.
Showing 164, 000 km, it is fitted with an automatic gearbox and retains its original engine (Matching Numbers). Imported to France in 2020, it has had two French owners.
Although lacking a service history, the car has always been meticulously maintained. In 2020 it benefited from a full repaint in its original colour (Matching colour), giving it today a high-quality cosmetic presentation.
Servicing completed and replacement of all four tyres February 2026.
