Launched in the late 1950s, the Jaguar MK2 quickly established itself as one of the most accomplished and elegant saloons of its era. Loved for its balance of comfort, sporting character and refinement, it left its mark on automotive history both on the road and on the track.
As confirmed by the Jaguar Heritage documentation, the example we’re presenting to you is a 3. 8L version, delivered new to Paris by the official importer Delecroix on 14 January 1960. Finished in a smart black-on-black specification, it stands out with chromed wire wheels and yellow headlamps, creating a striking contrast. In terms of ownership history, the car has had just three owners since 1985.
The engine is matching numbers (cylinder head and block) and is equipped with twin SU HD8 carburettors, mated to a manual 4-speed gearbox. The braking system has been upgraded with the installation of a large disc kit featuring ventilated discs and 4-piston calipers.
