Originally designed for travelling on a fast and lightweight bike, this Sportster Bagger was used by several American Police forces, these models were sent in numbers to Europe where they were sometimes sold stripped of their accessories, as they weren't particularly appreciated at the time. Specific windscreen, Sportster saddlebags, high-capacity fuel tank, front and rear indicators, specific comfortable seat… and a rare dual exhaust outlet, as only 1, 052 units were built in '77, the same year as the XLCR 1000 CAFE RACER by WG Davidson.
Very good base for building a Chopper, Bobber or restoring to original specification. For the discerning collector. It's the smallest production run of Harley motorcycle built in the modern era… This bike has an extraordinary history, I have the complete documentation. Originally sold in Paris at MARCEL MOTOS Paris 5th arrondissement on 22/ 10/ 1977 then moved down to Ardèche. The previous owner was close to the Club made famous by its founding member, "La PIE". This '77 cast iron is for me and connoisseurs, the last great year of the Sportster, with its large fuel tank, its single front disc brake, its rear drum brake... Modern yet at the same time very Classic.
