- Why an adjustable measuring gauge?
On our classic vehicles, a brake drum is rarely in new condition: with the miles, it wears, gets scored or has sometimes been turned by a machinist. Its actual internal diameter has therefore increased compared to the original specification.
Thanks to its lockable moving probe, this gauge kit does more than just a theoretical factory measurement:
Custom measurement: It copies the exact size of your front and rear drums at that moment in time.
Surgical adjustment: The measurement taken is transferred directly onto the brake shoes to precisely adjust the eccentrics.
Result: Balanced braking from the first test drive, no trial and error and no need to remove and refit the drum ten times over.
