Description
- Ami 6 crankshaft for M4 602cc engine type
Brand new, straight from the box, Citroën standard exchange.
Unused parts never fitted, with original spy seals supplied.
Parts sourced from stock held by a former Citroën garage.
Flywheel bearing diameter: 60 mm
Front bearing diameter: 55 mm
Approximate rod centre distance: 130 mm
Just to explain the background – this is a crankshaft I bought a few days ago because the seller, acting in good faith, thought it was a 2CV 425cc AZ-type crankshaft.
What I'm looking for.
From the photos it's impossible to tell the difference between an AZ and an Ami 6 without measuring or having them side by side – they're very similar (see the last photo showing a 2CV AZ crankshaft and this one (Ami 6) side by side).
That's why I bought it.
The seller acquired an entire stock of parts, including the crankshaft, a few years ago from a former Citroën dealer.
The crankshaft box was opened by him to take photos for the listing.
On the box it clearly states "2CV Crankshaft standard exchange".
The previous owner believes the error occurred at Citroën and that an Ami 6 crankshaft was packed instead of a 2CV AZ crankshaft, which is quite possible given how similar they look.
I'm selling it at the same price I paid for it.
I naturally have the previous seller's number so I can contact him for the history if needed.
