Description
For sale: an authentic 1924 Citroën 5HP Coupé Docteur. A particularly rare and sought-after ‘interior-drive’ version, ideal for a pre-war enthusiast wishing to carry out a high-quality restoration at their own pace.
The vehicle is being sold as the owner is moving on to a new project.
Condition of the vehicle:
• Complete and original: The vehicle is sound, has been kept ‘as-built’ and is partially dismantled. The engine is not seized.
• The bodywork specific to this closed version, the original mechanical components (engine, windscreen radiator, magneto), the front wings, the shell-shaped headlamps and the period wheels are all present. The rear wings are missing.
Legal status & History:
• Documentation: Sold without the original registration certificate, but with its official certificate of transfer in due form to prove legal ownership.
• Traceability: The original registration number is still painted on the front (935 H 55, Meuse department). A request for an extract from the register has been submitted to the departmental archives to strengthen the historical file.
• Please note: The initial FFVE application has been put on hold by the analyst, as the federation now requires the vehicle to be fully restored and in pristine condition before the final issue of the collector’s certificate.
Excellent condition, sound and not a DIY job. No time-wasters or ridiculous offers please; I am well aware of the rarity of the ‘Coupé Docteur’ body style.
Price: €4, 500, subject to reasonable negotiation in person.
Please make initial contact by message via the website. Vehicle to be collected on a flatbed (please bring a winch or have strong arms)
