Rare opportunity to acquire a substantial package of original Vegantune VTA (Type A) engine components.
George Robinson's Vegantune VTA engine was a unique development featuring a belt-driven twin-cam alloy head designed to fit the Ford Kent/ Crossflow block—frequently used in the Evante, Caterham Seven, and various historic race cars.
This package consists of the following original Vegantune cast components:
• Original VTA Cylinder Head – Clean casting, fitted with 4 brand-new exhaust valves and 1 new intake valve.
• RH Camshaft Carrier (VT1003) – Complete with camshaft and original alloy rocker cover (VT1006).
• LH Camshaft Carrier (VT1004) – Complete with camshaft and original alloy rocker cover (VT1006A).
• Twin Inlets for Weber DCOE (VT1000) – Matching pair of original manifolds.
• Thermostat Housing (VT1005) & Ancillary Piece (VT1010) – Crucial for completing the VTA cooling routing.
• 1x Cam Pulley/ Sprocket included.
Some missing parts to note: The kit is mostly complete. It lacks 3 intake valves, the second cam pulley, the lower crank pulley, and the belt tensioner assembly. This is reflected in the price.
This is ideal for anyone restoring a Vegantune-powered car or looking to build a period-correct VTA engine or similar engine to the Lotus Twin Cam engine.
