Description
Following the cancellation of the sale of an engine that had already been reserved by a buyer, I am putting this engine back up for sale. Engine type: 602cc AK2C, 2CV6. Engine completely stripped and rebuilt by me, a former professional mechanic. Engine side: all parts cleaned. Replaced the crankshaft with a used one found on Leboncoin. Oil pump. Camshaft. Cylinder head removed, valves refaced and lapped in, valve guide clearances checked, and a set of valve stem seals fitted. Replaced the pistons and fitted a new set of piston rings. Bores deglazed. Replaced all the gaskets, complete gasket sets. Carburettor: single-body carburettor rebuilt, accelerator pump diaphragms, needle valve and float bowl gaskets replaced. Ignition: new contact breaker points, condenser and spark plugs, timing adjusted. Alternator: fully stripped, bearings and brushes replaced, starter motor fuse replaced. Also replaced the fan belt and fan blade. Original clutch refitted, judged good overall. All bodywork panels sanded and painted with primer, finished in high-temperature gloss black. All bolts and body fixings are new. Both engine mounts are new. Possibility to start it up in front of any potential buyer. The air filter housing can be sold as an extra, with a new hose and repainted in its original colour, AC 136 Rosé Grey. To be viewed at my home. Cheers.
