Description
This gasket set box from the "Excelsior" brand (manufactured at the time by Curty & Cie) dates from the 1920s to the 1930s.
Several historical clues confirm this:
• The typography and the card: The box's graphic design is typical of the interwar period.
• The carburettor makes mentioned: Solex, Zénith (Normal and T. D.) and Cozette were the major standards on French automobiles of this era (the period of the "Ancêtres" and "Vintage" cars such as the Citroën B2/ B14, Peugeot 172/ 190 or the early Renaults). The Cozette brand, renowned for its racing superchargers and carburettors, reached its peak in the 1920s.
