Description
Barn find from the Banville area of Normandy, and a fine example of the repurposing of German military hardware. This bespoke motorcycle spent 79 years in a pigeon loft. It was built by a young inventor in his twenties, who met a sudden death in 1947. He built the machine from the frame of a 1943 Truppenfahrrad, its original camouflage paint still visible, and fitted it with a 1919 Cyclotracteur engine. The engine is seized. A testament to a bygone era when ingenuity and resourcefulness were the order of the day.
