The Appeal

The earlier the variety of the Volkswagen Beetle, the more sought-after the variant of the iconic people's car. Indeed, pre-1953 examples being particularly coveted by collectors. This 1950 example, known as a "Bril kever" (spectacle beetle) in the Netherlands due to its distinctive split rear window, embodies the early engineering and design philosophy of the Beetle in its purest form.

Finished in classic black with period-correct details including whitewall tyres and tasteful chrome accents, this Split Window Beetle offers the opportunity to own an increasingly rare early example of one of the most influential automotive designs of all time.
