The Appeal

Lightweight, handsome, and capable of an impressive turn of speed, the CZ350 was a Czech mount with a unique legacy. This was the first foreign bike sold in the post-WW2 USSR. and quickly captured a strong monopoly as a result. This legacy spread across the soviet bloc and beyond, and soon saw export to over 120 markets. The 350cc twin-stroke was capable of propelling at a mean 82mph, and continues to be built in near-identical mechanical spec some 90 years after introduction.

This particular 1968 example stands out for its very good condition following a comprehensive restoration by its previous Lithuanian owner. The addition of a period-correct sidecar, built by Czech builders, Velorax, only enhances the period appearance and practicality. This is real cold-war era beauty, with atomic-age, curvaceous styling and a handsome gold pin lining that's immensely evocative.

The Condition

Presents well all around, as shown in pictures
A handsome Velorex sidecar is included, which is clean and tidy but needs a floor carpet
Bodywork and paintwork is very handsomely presented
Distinctive deep red and gold livery
Seat appears in good order with some slight wear
Everything is original except for the 12V conversion
No major/minor advisories except for the side indicators, which limit its use to day rides according to British legislation
