Original condition
Service history up to 110000, sporadic thereafter.
Good runner, engine pulls well, gearbox and clutch are smooth. New Bosch battery
No smoke on start up or at idle. Idles well. Brakes are sound, no squeaks fade or veer.
Overall mechanically sound but does have issues to be expected for a 30 year old car. The paintwork is generally good, no real fade, polishes up bright but does have blemishes. Some chips hear and there.
Worst of it is rust or the front of the rear arches. I’ve tackled on side but depending on what you want for the car, could probably do with some professional attention.
The wheels are in excellent condition, plenary of tread on the tyres.
Sun roof doesn’t open, or possible just stiff but I’d consider it not opening.
Interior is in good condition. Carpets could do with a clean, drivers seat has stitching to bolster from past repair but bolster and seat still supportive. Passenger seat and rears are in great condition.
No stereo I’m aftaid. Headlining in very good condition. Dash has a crack in it and gear leaver cover is damaged. Steering wheel is in great condition. Electric windows both work.
External trim is all present but probably do with refitting. All lights work, fans, wipers etc.
Boot and floor pans are in good condition. Lip of tailgate is suffering rust on the inside but not visible from outside.
Overall I believe the car is a great example, certainly at the price. Depending on what plans you may have it is more than suitable as a car to enjoy immediately, restore or both.
