PLEASE NOTE THE £3500 QUOTE IS FOR AN ELECTRICAL CONVERSION CURRENTLY ON A VESPA SMALL FRAME ONLY , DOES NOT INCLUDE THE SCOOTER OR BATTERIES.
The scooter and battery packs are available at various pricing please e-mail for quotes. The idea is to convert your classic scooter or one we provide for you to electric power. The conversion is TOTALLY REVERIBLE for those of you who gasp in horror. No classic scooter have been harmed in the process of these conversions.
The price has three tiers
1. A classic scooter , it can be your scooter or one we can provide you with , it can painted and restored by us or not if you so wish Currently we are taking orders for the Classic Vespa small frame model conversions which we have conversion kits ready to install.( please note kits, as of yet, are not being sold seperatly) Classic Vespa large frame version is currently in the making and could be ready very soon . So pricing of the actual scooter is either £0 if you already own it , or X amount for which ever model and finish you choose, please enquire for more information on availabilty.
2. The electric conversion itself is £3500 . This consists of a brushless hub motor , a specially designed swinging arm, an electrical controller, a DC/ DC convertor as well as all the connections/ switches/ wiring etc, all fitted. This version is a 1000 watt motor equilivant to a 50cc, with a 30 mph speed restriction but a much quicker acceleration similar to a 125cc. 3000 watt motor to follow soon with 55 mph speed.
3. Batteries, we can provide one or two batteries depending on the range you wish to achieve, one underseat battery has a range of 30 miles a second spare wheel shaped battery has a range of 50 mile. Combined they have a range of 80 mile. Battery packs are your fuel for the next however many years depending on useage, the packs have 900 recharges , they take 6 hours to fully charge or 70% for a quick one hour thirty minute charge. The charging is done through a normal household 240v wall socket , all batteries are removable from the scooter and can be charged anywhere.
The biggest selling point of this ( besides the stylish classic look ) is just how easy it is to use these scooters. Turn the key and just twist and go, brakes are all in the normal position, lighting is LED and very bright, scooter overall is lighter and a smoother ride. Emission zone excempt vehicle, so free travel into central London ULEZ zone as of April 2019 later to extend to the north and south circular rd 2021.
