Here for sale we are delighted to present this rare crossover Series 2a in popular Light Pastel Green. On the outside, there are lots of nice features such as rear grabhandles, vintage numberplates, razor bonnet, maltese grill and wing-mounted mirrors. Some modern additions have been made too, such as the towball and electrics to allow towing. A recent canvas has been fitted along with a recent set of galvanised sticks - this will 'tighten up' as it gets wet, so don't worry if it looks a little baggy at the moment! Free Wheeling hubs have been fitted to maximise economy and limit front axle wear, along with a new set of our 750 military chevron style tyres. These give the effect of an overdrive by extending the gearing and are directional and self cleaning. The vehicle bodywork is in line with its age which we opted to leave, as it gives a nice period finish rather than a shiny gloss job.
On the inside, the vehicle has a set of 3 deluxe seats, with deluxe matting to the footwells. The interior also has a heater fitted with front demist - an expensive option from the factory. The vehicle also has deluxe interior trim in the form of door-cards along with deluxe interior carpeting to the front and the transmission tunnel. The rear, although unfitted could house bench seats to maximise carrying capacity to seven occupants including the driver. A slightly smaller steering wheel has been fitted to allow larger drivers to get behind the wheel easier.
Out on the road, the petrol engine coupled with the 750 tyres and free wheeling hubs give a pleasing, yet enhanced period driving experience. The engine is quiet and ticks over at low revs, and it pulls and stops just as it should. With the popular yet rare colour scheme, this vehicle attracts looks wherever it goes - and looks good in the summer sun!
