* VEHICLE NO LONGER FOR SALE, I AM KEEPING IT*
Welcome to this listing for my 1986 Nissan Bluebird 2. 0 SLX.
I shall start by saying this really pains me to be selling this car,
but my passion for cars really has taken over and I must move
them on and take a break from it all. I have 3 other older cars
as well as this Bluebird - an early Ford Mondeo, an early
Peugeot 306 and a very rare MK5b Ford Escort Si in White. All are
very clean examples. Please contact me for information on these too.
Anyway, back to the Bluebird - This particular car became known to me
in 2016 when a friend mentioned he'd seen it sitting years ago and we
went to see if it was still there - long story short, he ended up buying it.
In true Japanese style, it fired into life almost instantly with just a fresh
battery, running smooth on the fuel it had in when parked up in 2004!
I have many photos showing the car where it was parked and how it
looked before it was given some TLC.
It was given a mild overhaul to get it ready for the road, I have also
carried out a few very minor repairs. The following works have been
carried out:-
Full service with engine flush
Cambelt kit
Full Exhaust
4 tyres
A very small weld to the drivers sill where it sat close to a wall for years
Front Brake pads
Steering rack boots
Being a very early car, it is not a Sunderland build car, but was in fact
built in Japan, identified by the pantograph rear wiper amongst a few
other features unique to the early cars.
The car has now covered 36, 000 miles, some 9, 000 miles since getting
it back on the road, and has not let either myself or my friend down once -
a proper, no nonsense, reliable Japanese car. I never fail to be amazed at
how light and smooth the clutch is, how tight yet slick the gearbox is, and
how good the brakes are.
It was originally registered as a demonstrator to local dealer - Mason's of
High Hesket, then to Mr Robinson until my friend bought the car from him in
2016 (some 30 years!) then to me for the past year.
All dealer items still present, as are all MOTs, tax discs, two keys and the book pack with some service history. There is also evidence of other works being carried out by 2 local independent garages.
I cannot stress enough how much I love this car, but I have to let it go. In my opinion, it deserves to be preserved as it is, as I haven't seen a Japanese spec car for years.
Cash on collection near Junction 43 of the M6.
Please contact me for further information and more photos.
Thank you for looking
Ben.
